FAAST helps, whether you are a physio or a team coach, amateur or professional.
If you want to reduce the chance of getting a knee injury, or help injured players through knee injury rehab,
FAAST is the tool you need. Download the app to identify players’ susceptibility to knee injury and track recovery if one of your players does get injured.
How FAAST works
The FAAST application enables real-time motion analysis, using the Landing Error Scoring System (LESS) to give instant feedback with just a smartphone (no cumbersome wires,
trackers or expensive sensors are needed).
Scores allow you to manage, monitor and improve players’ technique; avoid injury; and compete and compare them against friends and teammates.
Simply...
STEP ONE: Log In or Sign Up
STEP TWO: Select a Routine & Player
STEP THREE: Watch the Exemplar video
STEP FOUR: Line them up on your smartphone
STEP FIVE: Record their performance
STEP SIX: Get immediate scores and analysis
STEP SEVEN: Compare against standards set by experts
STEP EIGHT: Set up groups of players and patients
STEP NINE: Repeat with players to provide comparisons
Overall FAAST helps you enjoy your assessment work by showing players their problems, risks and progress, and lets you network with professional colleagues to ensure you reduce players’ risk of injury through bad technique.
In the initial version of the App the focus is on knee injury; one of the most common and most debilitating for sportsmen and women. You can assess players using eight routines (jumps and squats).
Scores, using the LESS methodology, are based on measurement of key aspects of each routine as determined by coaching experts. These measurements are converted to scores and can allow for different levels of experience and ability as well as age and gender.
More information on the LESS methodology can be found at physio-pedia.com
